MANILA – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Saturday said most parts of the country will continue to experience generally fair weather, although rains and thunderstorms may still affect several areas.
Batanes and the Babuyan Islands are expected to have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the frontal system affecting northern Luzon.
PAGASA warned that moderate to heavy rainfall may lead to flash floods and landslides.
In Mindanao, the intertropical convergence zone continues to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over:
Zamboanga Peninsula
Sultan Kudarat
Sarangani
Lanao del Sur
Maguindanao del Norte
Basilan
Tawi-Tawi
Residents were advised to remain cautious during periods of intense rainfall.
Metro Manila and nearby provinces may continue to experience isolated thunderstorms caused by localized weather disturbances.
PAGASA also confirmed that no tropical cyclone or low-pressure area is currently being monitored following the dissipation of Tropical Storm Caloy.
The agency further warned that dangerous heat indices will continue to affect dozens of areas nationwide.
