CITY OF MALOLOS — Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro has been recognized for his humanitarian and people-centered leadership after being named one of the Icon of Leadership Distinction Awardees at the Golden Icons Awards 2026, held recently at The Bellevue Manila in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
The recognition cited Castro’s commitment to public service and his efforts to advance programs aimed at improving the welfare of Bulakenyos while reinforcing public trust in local government.
Organizers of the prestigious awards highlighted Castro’s assertive yet compassionate leadership style, noting his clear sense of purpose and consistent focus on inclusive governance.
In a Facebook post following the ceremony, Castro expressed gratitude for the honor and dedicated the award to the people of Bulacan, underscoring the role of trust and shared responsibility in effective leadership.
“This honor is not just for me, but for every Bulakenyo who continues to give me the trust and inspiration to serve,” Castro said.
The Golden Icons Awards recognize individuals from various sectors who have demonstrated excellence, integrity, and meaningful contributions to society.
