MANILA – The easterlies continue to affect the eastern portions of Visayas and Mindanao, bringing scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, PAGASA said on Tuesday.
Weather forecasters said Eastern Visayas, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental will be among the areas most affected by intermittent rainfall.
Other parts of the Philippines are also expected to experience brief rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized weather activity.
PAGASA cautioned the public about possible flash floods and landslides during periods of intense rainfall, particularly in mountainous and flood-prone communities.
Wind conditions across the country are expected to remain light to moderate, with sea conditions generally slight to moderate.
The bureau also noted that no tropical cyclone formation is being monitored at this time.
